๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ณVietnam Hanoi; day2) Visiting BAI DInh, the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia

On the second day of the trip, I decided to leave Hanoi and go on a trip to the neighboring city of Ninh Bin. A trip within a trip! Traveling around the neighborhood seems to be fun.

While Ninh Binh is a larger city than I thought, he had to schedule it well because of the lack of transportation. So I had to decide what to see, but since it was the exam period for SJ, I decided to sort it out a little by myself and ask for my opinion in the final stage.

First of all, you must include a boat tour in Trang An or Tam Cแป‘c, which is almost a must-have course in Ninh binh. Personally, I put it in because I wanted to go to Bai dinh Temple and Hang Mรบa cave. In particular, Bai dinh Temple is said to be the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. I think it would be good to look around because religious relics are actually deeply related to the culture and history of any country.

In particular, I wanted to visit a “Vietnam”-like place, which is the first time in Southeast Asia, because it was impressive to visit the cathedral ruins of Catholic countries while traveling mainly in Europe. (In fact, I’m not sure if it can be said to be a Vietnamese-like temple from the perspective of the Vietnamese. I think i need more research about it)

We didn’t take a tour from a tour company, so we had to cut the transportation separately. I installed an application called vexere, but it is not possible to log in in Korea(non Vietnam) because it is only possible to log in with a Vietnamese number. You have to change your USIM and log in at the airport. But the application didn’t work well, so I just searched on safari and logged in with the website and used it.

There are a wide variety of trips. You can choose what you want and make a reservation.
In our case, it was a free trip to Ninh Binh, so we reserved Hanoi – Baidinh / Hang mua – Hanoi to minimize the route.

Not all passengers go to Bai dinh, but they traveled by limousine bus from Hanoi to Ninh Binh Central, where another driver divided each passenger into small cars. (I recommend this flight because it is much more efficient in terms of time and money than transferring to a taxi from Ninh Binh Central.)

Our Nin binh schedule consisted of Baiding – Trang An Boat Tour – Hang mua (if time permits).
There’s no big reason, and I organized it because I thought it would be better to look around first in the morning because Baidinh Temple is far and far from Ninh binh Central compared to the other two places in the morning.

It drops off at the entrance of the parking lot of Baidinh Temple, but even if it looks like a construction plate, you can just go straight in. There are sometimes people who ask for a ride to the entrance of the ticket office.. It takes 5 minutes on foot, so you can just walk there.

You can buy tickets at the ticket office, but there are many kinds, but we thought about two things. For admission, a round-trip electric car ticket is a must, and the point was whether to choose the one that includes the tower(Bai dinh pagoda) entrance fee. The tower must have been a pretty famous attraction, but other reviews say it was generally good, so I think it’s good to listen to it when you have time. But we were going on a boat tour in the afternoon and didn’t choose because we weren’t that interested.

Having a breakfast is very important..
If you take a limousine from Hanoi Vietnam Circus Station, it is not bad to buy anti-American food nearby simply like us.
Furthermore, there are not as many restaurants or foods near Bai Dinh and Trang An as Hanoi. And if it’s hard to find a restaurant because you have to save time if you’re on a one-day trip with us, maybe it’s not a bad idea to buy Banh mi sandwich and eat it as a lunch box in an outdoor cafe area near the Bai Dinh Resort..

  • Bread Grilled pork

It’s not a Banh mi restaurant that is filled a lot like in Korea, but it’s rather delicious. It seems to be a local restaurant favored by residents.
It is sensible that the menu is written on a package containing Banh Mi Sandwich.

Our recommended course is to enter from the place where you drop off by electric car, go straight up the corridor on the left, – Bell Tower – the Kuan-Yin Hall – Fairy Lake – Buddha Dharma Lord Temple – 3periods Temple – Ancient Pagoda.
There are facilities such as resorts and playgrounds in No. 17(on the map below), and there are cafes and food stores there. You can take some snacks or drinks there.
It takes about three hours to look around the whole temple comfortably.

– Hร nh lang La Hรกn Arhat Statue Corridor
Sculptures of Buddhist saints hang down the corridor. (The hallway is long, so it’s hard to look at both sides.)

– Gรกc chuรดng Bell Tower
If you go up, you can see the view. You can take a nice view of Kuan-yin Hall and Baidinh pagoda up there. It was good to see the decorative patterns of Vietnamese bells and bells that looked different from Korean bells and European ones.

– ฤiแป‡n Quan Thแบฟ ร‚m Bแป“ Tรกt the Kuan-Yin Hall

Hแป“ tiรชn Fairy Lake
There are so many butterflies. I wonder if a fairy is those Tinkerbells(butterflies).

It is fun to look around because the faces on the wall look different.

ฤiแป‡n phรกp chแปง Buddha Dharma Lord Temple
It’s large and colorful, but it doesn’t feel too fancy. It feels different from Korean temples. I prayed, but Vietnam and Korea seem to have a slightly different way of praying.

Ancient Pagoda

This place should be accompanied by some hiking. It’s not hard to climb, but if it’s uncomfortable to walk, this could uncomfortable place to visit. But since you’re here, shouldn’t you watch it. It’s quite worth seeing.
According to Wikipedia, it was originally the Bai dinh Temple. It can be seen as the predecessor of the Bai dinh Temple.
There is a stand selling incense on the way up. If you want to pray, I think it’s good to buy a scent. We’re non-religious (and don’t know how to pray Vietnamese) so we just went up.
If you look at the map of the way down from here, find it well, and go down, there is an electric car (to the temple).

The second day of the trip will be followed by a boat tour in the Trang An Ecotourism Zone!
